Siinmail on tudengitel tavaks pidudel/üritustel kanda tunkesid. Niiet varsti on mul sama värvi tunked ;)
Early mornings are not my favourites. Today I had to get up at 6.30, because the bioengineering lab started at 8 and unfortunately it was in one of the building of Tampere hospital, which is located far far away. So it's not very comfortable. Still I managed to catch my bus in time and not be late. The work we had to do was about ECG (electrocardiogram) measurement. I had a partner, a chinese girl, and to make the measurement, one of us had to be the patient and by chance it was me. So I got to lie down and relax the whole time while my partner attached a lot of wires on me and did measurements in different configurations. I wasn't completely useless, at least I answered some questions that our supervisor asked during the measurement. But it was chill :P. It was kind of like an educational lesson and a health check-up at the same time.
In the afternoon there was an info lesson on the project "Erasmus in schools". This project sends foreign students to finnish schools to get to know the education system and educate the students, introduce your own country and give the kids a chance to practice English and so on. The event was nice, the presenter was interesting, there were free snacks and afterwards there was a lottery in which I won a badge for my overalls (see next chapter). But the project seemed nice and I'm thinking of also taking part of this. Seems like a nice experience.
And here is a brief explanation about overalls. Here students wear overalls to alla kinds of events and parties and so on. For each subject, there are different colours, so by the overalls you can easily see who is studying what and where. Different badges are sewn to the overalls and they can be aquired from all kinds of events, parties, organisations and so on. The more badges you have, the cooler you are ;) The picture shown above was taken from a Wikipedia article and it shows the overalls of the Hiukkanen guild, which I have also joined. Soon I will have overalls just like these :)
And lastly, I went to the Mikontalo gym today. Maud was there too. We exercised for and hour and now we are really strong ;)
